Cynthia Rapp
Cynthia Rapp serves as the Program Coordinator for the International Affairs Program, the Middle East Center for Peace, Culture, and Development, and the Dialogue of Civilizations programs. She assists International Affairs faculty with advising, special events, and general program management tasks. She also develops and coordinates short-term faculty-led programs abroad. In 2006, she co-led the Spain Dialogue through Andalucia, and she co-led the Egypt Dialogue with Prof. Denis Sullivan in 2007 and 2008.
Cynthia holds a B.A. in History from Baker University and a Master of Theological Studies degree from Boston University. Prior to her employment in the International Affairs Program, Cynthia worked as a teacher in central Mexico. Her main research interests include cross-cultural dialogue, the role of religion in conflicts and negotiation, religious education, and identity formation. She led an optional discussion group on the role of religion in conflict and reconciliation in the 2007 spring semester.
